Meet the Doctors
Dr. Breanna and Dr. Barry met and fell in love while attending Sherman College of Chiropractic. They both share a passion for healing and are committed to bringing health to their community.
Dr. Breanna Smith Powderly
Dr. Breanna Smith Powderly is a native of Harrisburg, PA. She knew from an early age that she wanted to be a chiropractor. Growing up she enjoyed the outdoors, swimming, theatre, and Girl Scouts where she received her Gold Award. She attended Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC where she met her husband, Barry.
While attending Sherman, she was awarded Intern of the Month and received the B.J. Palmer Philosophy Award upon graduation. She also was a member of the ACE (Academy of Chiropractic Excellence), allowing her to serve other students through tutoring chiropractic technique and grading physical examinations in the Sherman College Health Center.
Dr. Breanna has additional training in pediatrics, pre-natal care, and is certified in Applied Kinesiology. She practices using a combination of Thompson, Diversified, Pierce, and Toggle-Recoil.
While not at the office, Dr. Breanna enjoys being a mom to Emilia. She also enjoys spending time with her dogs, husband, hiking, and traveling. It is her mission to serve people through chiropractic and make sure that every family has the ability to live without nervous system interference.
Dr. Barry Powderly
Dr. Barry Powderly was born and raised in Southeast Ohio, he moved to the Harrisburg area with his wife after graduating from Sherman College of Chiropractic. He fell in love with the area and Pennsylvania due to its stunning landscape and many outdoor activities. Dr. Barry has always known he wanted to work in the healthcare field. He studied biology in undergraduate school and was a Registered Respiratory Therapist before attending Sherman College of Chiropractic. It was at Sherman College of Chiropractic that Dr. Barry learned the science, philosophy, and art of chiropractic that he uses to serve patients.
While at Sherman College Dr. Barry was awarded Intern of the month during his clinical internship. In the course of completing his doctorate, he went above and beyond the standard curriculum to became a member of the Academy of Chiropractic Excellence (ACE). As an ACE Intern he took additional exams in chiropractic techniques, spinal pattern analysis, and palpation so he could tutor other students and be a resource for other interns. He also studied additional techniques of the Activator Protocol and Torque Release Technique. He practices using a combination of Thompson, Diversified, Pierce and Toggle Recoil techniques.
When not at work Dr. Barry enjoys being in the outdoors; golfing, camping, hiking and whitewater rafting. He loves being with his wife, daughter, and two dogs on their many adventures. Jameson and Tully are two beautiful rescue pooches who are full of life and energy. He also enjoys going to the many different breweries in the area with friends or pulling for one of his many sports teams.

Dr. Ashley Lavender is a central PA native. She attended chiropractic school at Life University, located in Georgia. Before attending chiropractic school Dr. Lavender received her bachelors degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science from Temple University, and knew early on that she wanted a profession in the healthcare field.
While attending Life University Dr. Lavender was involved in the pediatric adjusting club and is currently a member of the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association). In addition to pediatrics, Dr. Lavender also has additional training in pre-natal care and loves serving pregnant mamas in the office.
Dr. Lavender sees patients of all ages and primarily practices using a combination of Thompson, Activator, and diversified adjusting techniques.
While out of the office Dr. Lavender loves spending time with family and friends and snuggling her dog Buddy. She loves hiking, trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and playing volleyball.
